Photography invoicing
with a deposit that holds the date.

A date without a deposit is a maybe. Send the deposit invoice when they book and the date is really yours.

What it does

  • Send a deposit invoice by text or email in under a minute
  • Clients pay by card online, from their phone
  • Send the balance before the session, or after for events
  • See who paid and who still owes in one list

Common deposit setups

  • Portrait and family sessions: a flat $100 deposit, taken off the total
  • Weddings and events: 30 percent to hold the date, balance two weeks before. In our sample rates, an 8-hour wedding with a second shooter and an album is $4,600: $1,380 deposit, $3,220 balance
  • Mini sessions: paid in full when they book, because the slot is only 20 minutes

Read photography deposits and retainers for refund and reschedule wording.

Why it matters

A deposit cuts no-shows and stops "we found someone cheaper" two weeks before the date. Card payments land without a check in the mail.

Frequently asked questions

Does it charge the balance automatically?

No. You send the balance invoice when it is due, from your phone, and the client pays it by card. Reminders to pay are up to you.
